Jinyun Tang, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab Description: Implicit microbial mechanisms on trace gas fluxes and nutrient dynamics in Earth system models are one of the largest sources of uncertainties in simulating biogeochemistry-climate feedbacks. This uncertainty could be reduced by adopting a data-model integration approach which helps facilitate explicit representation of microbial processes on trace gas fluxes and nutrient dynamics for simulating biogeochemistry-climate feedbacks. Our session invites papers that address this topic by using a range of methods such as field experiment, modeling analysis, and data synthesis, spanning from plot, regional to global scales.
