Dear colleagues,

We are in the process of selecting lakes along a gradient of annual water-level
fluctuation for a study about the ecological impacts of winter drawdowns (for
hydroelectricity) in Quebec and north eastern USA.

While there is public access to Quebec lake water-level fluctuation data, we
haven't been able to access this information from US lakes.

I would appreciate if you could point potential sources that might have this
information, hopefully databases or data repositories.

At least the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MEDEP) does not keep
these data, and energy companies are reluctant to cooperate. We ignore if the
situation is similar in other states.

Any suggestion? Relevant references would also be welcome.

Best,

Cristian
