*It is our pleasure to inform you that the **BREAD Ideas Challenge has
begun!*



The *BREAD Ideas Challenge* is an opportunity for researchers in the
agricultural sciences to bring attention to what they believe are the *most
pressing issues facing smallholder farmers in the developing world today.* Not
only will the prizewinning Challenge Ideas be showcased for the
international community to draw attention to these important challenges:
Prizewinners will also receive up to $10,000 USD each for the best

At the BREAD Ideas Challenge website, you can learn more about the
competition, the BREAD program, rules and eligibility, how winners will be
selected, and what will happen afterward. *Submissions to the BREAD Ideas
Challenge will be accepted at the website through April 30, 2013, 5pm EDT;
no entries will be after that date.*



We ask that you please spread the word to your colleagues in fields
appropriate to BREAD, *including researchers Internationally and in the
developing world.* If you have questions about the BREAD Ideas Challenge
that are not addressed on the website, they can be sent to
[email protected].
