Workshop: Using Program PRESENCE to Model Occupancy of Rare Reptiles, Amphibians, and Fishes
We are pleased to announce that the 2013 JMIH and Proteus Wildlife Research Consultants have joined forces as part of this yearÂ’s symposium, Detectability and Studying Rare Species, to offer a one-day workshop on the use of Program PRESENCE, the premiere software for estimating site occupancy while accounting for imperfect detection. Workshop leader Darryl Mackenzie is an internationally renowned biometrician, known for his work on the development and application of species occurrence models. Darryl has provided advice on studies for a wide-range of species, has published over 40 peer-reviewed papers with many in top ecological journals, and is lead author of the book Occupancy Estimation and Modeling.
