The Department of Biology at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, beginning tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of Genomics to begin on July 1, 2013. We are searching for an individual who takes a genomics approach to biological problems using a combination of bioinformatic, statistical, computational and biological methodologies, and who will thrive in an environment that combines teaching, research and interdisciplinary collaboration. The successful candidate is expected to teach at all levels of the curriculum and establish an externally funded research program that provides rigorous collaborative research projects for undergraduates. Teaching responsibilities include courses in genomics and in the candidate’s area of expertise, as well as involvement in the team-taught introductory biology sequence. A Ph.D. and at least one year of post-doctoral research experience are required.
