Dear Ecol-Listers: I am trying to locate the precise day of arrival into the UK (possibly London) of an American scholar whose writings had evolutionary implications. Very likely, he (and perhaps his family) arrived in the UK on the second half of June 1908. With the arrival information, we will be likely to find the day of departure from the USA. Possibly he departed from New York City, NY or from Baltimore, Maryland.
I just contacted our USA National Archives and was told to Google Archives in the UK. I used to think that there were records for ship departures (+ passengers) from the USA. Any idea of ways to find this type of information? Thank you. Sincerely, Jorge
