Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Ecology
The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Memphis 
(http://www.memphis.edu/biology/) seeks to complement and build on existing 
strengths in ecology and evolution by inviting applications for a tenure-track 
position in ecology at the rank of assistant professor to begin August 2013.  
We seek an outstanding ecologist with an integrative research program designed 
to understand the genetic mechanisms underlying responses of organisms to their 
natural environments.  Preference will be given to ecologists whose research is 
in the specific areas of ecological genetics/genomics.  Exceptionally qualified 
applicants in other sub-disciplines of ecology will also be considered.  The 
successful applicant will be expected to develop an externally funded research 
program, supervise PhD and MS students, and contribute to the teaching 
curriculum by developing courses in general ecology, as well as in his/her area 
of expertise.  Candidates must have a PhD and post-doctoral experience, a 
record of peer-reviewed publication and other scholarly accomplishments.
