Dear all: I am interested to know if anybody has had success with replacing the battery for and reusing radio transmitters for tracking small animals. Last year I used Holohil Systems transmitters (BD-2 model) to track amphibians. It seems like a waste to just throw these valuable pieces equipment away once the battery dies.
*Upon examination, it appears that one must: * 1. remove the resin-coating over the battery, 2. replace the old battery with a new battery, and then 3. re-coat the new battery with resin.
