Just an observation on Mimulus guttatus in the east: M. guttatus isn't listed
as occurring in Massachusetts in the 2011 Vascular Plants of Massachusetts: A
county checklist, 1st revision (available to order through the MA Natural
Heritage website, due to go online sometime). The checklist is based on records
in herbaria and other firm documentation, so if anyone does find it in
Massachusetts (outside of a garden), it would probably be a state record and a
specimen should be submitted to one of the local herbaria.

Subject: Mimulus guttatus populations on the east coast

Hello,

In addition to searching for M. guttatus populations in New York, I would also
be interested in collecting fruits next month in the following east-coast
states:

Pennsylvania
Massachusetts
New Hampshire
Maine
Connecticut
New Jersey

As many of you who work with M. guttatus know, the species is not as widesp=
read on the east coast as it is in its native west-coast region. I apprecia= te
any information pertaining to the location of this species in the aforem=
entioned states. Thanks in advance!

Best,
