I am currently trying to identify adult aquatic insects caught on sticky traps
(stuck in Tanglefoot on
overhead sheets). The samples are from traps located near small tributaries in
the Salmon River
Mountains of central Idaho. I am looking for a key to help me identify the
insects to the family level.
Because the bugs are stuck in goo, identification is quite difficult. I am
looking for a regional and
perferably visual key such as the Xerces key for the Pacific Northwest juvenile
taxa. I'm not sure if
this exists for adult, but it would be quite helpful. I have a copy of Merritt,
Cummins, and Berg. But it
would be nice to have a more regional key to narrow things down a bit. Another
thing that might be
helpful would be photos of adult taxa to compare to my samples.

Thanks for your help,
