Hi Ecolog!

Our lab is trying of find a buyer for this instrument.

SmartChem 200 Discrete Analyzer Spectrophotometer (Westco Scientific)
$47,000.00 based on 10-year depreciation standard

This automated spectrophotometer has high throughput with minimal operator
supervision. Able to analyze Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia, Total
Phosphorus(among others) this DA has 126 samples cups and the capability to
run multiple analysis at once.

Westco/Unity lists various benefits over a flow through analyzer:
-all methods are stored in memory
-as many as six (6) methods can be programmed in a single run
-method changeover is automatic with all the chemistry requirements in place
to include sample volume, reagents(s) volume(s), dwell time, and optical filter
-no hardware changes from test-to-test
-no wasted reagents
-no baseline stabilization
-no pump tubes
-no flowing streams
-no shutdown

This instrument was purchased new from Westco Scientific (now Unity Sci.) in
2009. We no longer use it enough to justify keeping it for the long term
and will be able to release the instrument August 31, 2012. We have run less
than 7000 samples on the instrument and have several extra parts (halogen
bulbs, wash station bottle sensor and cadmium reaction columns) that are
included at no extra cost.

Sale includes:
-SmarthChem 200
-Dell computer, monitor and printer
-New Cd reaction columns x 2
-Halogen bulb replacement x 2
-Wash station bottle sensor
-Replacement set of cuvettes

Please pass on to interested parties and contact me for more information.
