Featured Summer Course -- Project BudBurst: Introduction to Plant Phenology and Climate Change Session 1: June 11 – July 9 Session 2: August 1 – 29 This professional development course will provide you with detailed information about Project BudBurst (www.budburst.org) and how to participate, including how to select your plants and make observations, suggestions for structuring your classroom involvement, educational activities to engage your students in making observations, analyzing data, as well as forming a community with other educators. This course is offered in two sections: PBB 501 was developed for educators in formal education settings such as K12 classrooms and community colleges; PBB 551 was developed for educators in informal education settings such as botanic gardens, nature preserves, and science museums. The content for both sections is similar, however, implementation ideas have been tailored to the needs of different learners. Also, to facilitate more useful discussion, you will be taking the course with others who are in similar educational settings. Participants in PBB – 501/551 can sign up for optional graduate level continuing education credits from Colorado School of Mines. The fee for 2 credits is $90.00.
