The Canadian Pollination Initiative (NSERC-CANPOLIN) is organizing a 2-day workshop on Pollination and Land Rehabilitation. The workshop will bring together pollination biologists, restoration ecologists, and others interested in land rehabilitation, and will provide a valuable opportunity to assess the current state of knowledge and identify research priorities and collaborative projects. The workshop will take place immediately prior to the <http://www.ecosummit2012.org/>2012 EcoSummit on September 29 and 30, 2012 in Columbus, Ohio.


Workshop Agenda


Day 1 (Sat,Sept 29) 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

(a) Assessment of the current state of knowledge

Presentations by workshop participants on recent projects and developments in the field

(b) Determination of Research Priorities

Group discussion to identify key knowledge gaps

Day 2 (Sun, Sept 30) 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

(c) Breakout Groups

Based on outcome of (B) above, the workshop will divide into 3-4 breakout groups to identify potential parallel and collaborative projects in key areas and potential sources of funding.
