I have gotten some responses already and everything seems to be anecdotal. I am going to go ahead and put together a survey to collect the data so I can summarize it in a publication. Many of us have had the problem of cows or elk eating plastic flagging or the tops off of pin flags, but I am having a difficult time finding mention of this in papers or books. Fred Provenza mentions this in some of his work, but that is about all I have found – that and a paper saying moose didn’t eat plastic flagging. Thanks in advance.
