Workshop Facilitator: Dr. Hank Steven, Associate professor at Miami University
Workshop Description: This workshop provides a beginners introduction
to R, targeting biology students in various fields. The main mode of
workshop presentation is to teach students to use the R code to run a
variety of statistical analyses. These methods include data input and
manipulation, standard distributions, t-tests, one- and two-way
analysis of variance, regression analysis, multiple linear regression
analysis, linear models, and logistic regression. *Bring your own
computer for this class. There will be practice data sets available
to workshop participants, but please feel free to bring your own data
saved in a spreadsheet.
Fee covers a booklet that provides explanation and code for all
workshop sessions.
