Business/Ranch Management position.  Nine
month tenure track position.  Summer
teaching possible. Appointment Date: Fall, 2012 or until filled. Salary: $45,000
for nine month appointment with possible supplemental summer salary. 
Requirements:
earned Doctorate in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Range
Science, Wildlife Science or closely related field.  Must have a strong 
commitment to
undergraduate education with excellent communication skills; technically
current; enthusiastic team player who is willing to work in a multidisciplinary
program; demonstrated skills in leadership. Responsibilities: teach
undergraduate and graduate courses with an emphasis in agricultural business
and ranch management; academic advisor to
undergraduate and graduate students; advisor to student organizations and 
clubs; conduct scholarly research and inquiry; participate in appropriate
conferences and meetings; serve on university committees; provide service
through outreach activities; provide leadership in student recruitment and
retention. Sul Ross State University is located in Alpine, Texas

accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of

Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences enrollment on the Alpine campus is
2,000 students, of which 300 are majors within the School of Agricultural and
Natural Resource Sciences, including 36 graduate students.  The School provides

faculty, and administration for 9  baccalaureate
concentrations, and 4 master’s-level graduate degrees.  Undergraduate degree 
concentrations include
Agricultural Education, Agricultural-Business, Animal Health Management, Animal
Science-Production, Reproductive Physiology, Equine Science, Meat Science,
Wildlife and Range Management, and Conservation Biology.   Graduate degree 
options include Range and
