VOLUNTEERS (1-2) NEEDED to help with graduate student research on urban and suburban stopover sites of migratory birds in New York City. Volunteers help record foraging observations data starting at sunrise and lasting for about 4-5 hours. Plots are located in Bronx County and Westchester County. REQUIREMENTS FOR VOLUNTEERS: Available at least some mornings between now and October 28 (we are in the field most rain-free mornings), able to provide own transportation, ideally some bird/plant identification skills (or strong desire to learn), ideally some field experience, and good attitude. I CAN OFFER IN RETURN: Great opportunity to help migratory birds. You will gain lots of field experience in a laid-back setting.
