I would like to culture Cryptomonas erosa in the laboratory for use in zooplankton competition experiments. Does anyone out there have any experience obtaining and keeping this species in continuous culture in the lab? Specifically I would like to know where I can obtain cells to start a culture and what conditions/media work best for this species. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
