FIRST CIRCULAR - The Role of the National Ecological Institute:
Ecological Approaches to Preparing an Adaptive Strategy against Climate Change
This international symposium presented by the Korean Ministry of
Environment will mark preparations to organize the new National
Ecological Institute (Ecoplex), by providing a forum to discuss and
to share ideas on setting priorities among various ecological
subjects for future research projects .
The mission of the Institute is to serve as a national integrative
ecological institute for studying ecosystem alteration, mitigation
and adaptation to global climate change, and conservation of
biodiversity. Thus the theme of this symposium will be 'The Role of
the National Ecological Institute: Ecological Approaches to Preparing
an Adaptive Strategy against Climate Change'.
