I am Bing Xu, a graduate student working with Dr. Jingyun Fang at Department
of Ecology, Peking University, China. We are collecting biometric
measurements of ecosystem carbon pools and fluxes to develop a global
database based on direct field measurements. We will greatly appreciate if
you (1) send the original data (any of the variables listed below) directly
with email ([email protected]) or (2) provide the literature or source where
we can find these data. We will share all these data with you when we
finish compiling the database. Thanks a lot for your help and
collaboration.
The parameters include these:
Net ecosystem production (NEP)
Net primary productivity (NPP)
Soil respiration and its autotrophic and heterotrophic components
Biomass carbon density (t C/ha)
Soil organic carbon density (t C/ha or g C/m2)
Soil microbial biomass carbon
Site characteristics (e.g. location, climate, vegetation and soil types)
