I am seeking a master’s or Ph.D. student for the College of Marine Science http://www.marine.usf.edu/, University of South Florida to begin Fall 2011. Research will focus on basic or applied ecology of marine fishes and projects will be developed with student. Previous and current research foci have included predator-prey interactions, species-habitat relationships, and population, community and ecosystem-level effects of fishing.

Fellowships and Graduate Assistantships are available on a competitive basis for first-year students. Average funding is $18,000 for master's students and $20,000 for Ph.D. students annually (fall, spring, summer). Fellowships and assistantships normally include a tuition waiver or payment (covering approximately 80-90% of your total tuition expenses, depending on the funding source). 100% health insurance premiums paid to full time (20 hours/week) Graduate Assistants. Second-year students become eligible for Teaching Assistantships.
