Iverson and Prasad (USFS)  have done quite a bit with canopy spp. distribution
models and climate estimates within the Northeast; see:

also:

Union of Concerned Scientists have also run downscaled climatologies for the NE:

Nature Conservancy has their Climate Wizard:

Landscope.org (Nature Serve\Natl.Geographic) will be serving a layer of climate
stress index (on vegetation)

Pretty sure theres a couple of more...

Dear ECOLOG,

Does anyone out there know of any publically available spatial data (vector or
raster GIS layers) that includes future predicted shifts in climate and its
consequences (shifts in vegetation types, land cover, tree or other species
distributions, etc.)? Specifically we are interested in the Northern Rockies,
but other leads are welcome.
Thank you for your time and any suggestions.
Sincerely,
Travis
