The Curriculum for the Environment and Ecology invites applications for a
position of Associate Professor. Under very special circumstances where a
candidate also satisfies criteria for endowment funds from an associated
department, consideration will be given to the rank of Full Professor. The
Curriculum seeks outstanding candidates who have a demonstrated excellence
in both teaching and research and who have the potential to provide
leadership in the Curriculum. Priority will be given to candidates
with strong interdisciplinary backgrounds with demonstrated interests and

to the environment, including but not restricted to Anthropology, Biology,
Economics, Geography, Geology, Marine Science, and Public Policy. Some
areas of special interest are environment and social sciences, energy,
hydrology, and atmospheric sciences. The successful candidate will have
his or her primary appointment in an appropriate department within the

will be devoted to the Curriculum.
