We have had pretty good success with recoynx cameras, and it seems like there is a variety of models available now to suit a range of education/outreach (e.g., high def colour) and data collection (i.e., quick wake up time but poorer quality image) needs.
We also have a paper coming out in JWM this September discussing some benefits and drawbacks of these cameras for monitoring large mammals. Adam T.
