Biologist Position with the Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Research Station,
Reno, NV

Position opened Monday March 30, 2009 and will be open until April 27, 2009.

This is a full time Term position, not to exceed 13 months.  There is a
possibility of an extension up to two years.  

This Term position is with the Great Basin Ecology Lab, Grasslands,
Shrublands and Deserts Program of the Rocky Mountain Research Station, is
located in Reno, NV.  Responsibilities during the Summer field season
require supervision of a vegetation sampling crew collecting data on four
sites in eastern Nevada.  Crews will camp out on each site during field data
collection.  In addition to the completion of field operations, the
assignment includes assisting the final data processing and analysis for the
Great Basin Ecology Labs portion of a multi-institution, multi-state,
multi-disciplinary sagebrush/pinyon-juniper restoration/fuels management
project that is integrating plant ecology, fire science, wildlife biology,
soil science, hydrology, economics, and social sciences.  (Sagebrush Steppe

Term employment does not confer competitive (permanent) status, nor entitle
