Over the next four years, U.S. scientists will be teaching short courses
for the scientific community at the International LTER site at Lake
Hovsgol, Mongolia. In July 2002, I taught a short course in statistics
for nearly 30 Mongolians working at the site and they are in desperate
need of textbooks. We are looking for donations of copies of ecology,
evolution, and statistics books. Mongolians cannot afford to buy these
books, as the book prices are more than the average monthly salary. If
you get the books to me, I will get them to Mongolia. Thanks.
