Hello Fabrice,
We're using an Archer field PC with GPS attachment
for very similar work to what you describe.  The accuracy is up to 1 m
and using windows mobile we run ArcPad 7.1 for seamless transfer into
ArcView.  From what I understand, this unit is similar in price and
performace to a Trimble but is a bit more user frielndly and uses
software that is easier to mesh with the big GIS packages.  Hope this
