USDA-Agricultural Research Service, Pest Management Research Unit, Sidney, Montana is seeking a permanent full-time Biological Science Technician (GS-7/8/9) for a research program in rangeland grasshopper ecology and management. Starting date is negotiable between ~October 1 and January. The technician works with an insect ecologist investigating grazing management and rangeland fire effects on grasshopper population dynamics and community composition; effects of abiotic and biotic factors on grasshopper outbreaks; and the influence of grasshopper herbivory on rangeland productivity and interactions between exotic and native grasses. Candidates should have research experience in ecology or entomology. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
