America's Environmental College

Unity College in Maine, "America's Environmental College," seeks an
enterprising colleague to join our faculty for fall of 2008.  

We are accepting applications for a Captive Wildlife Care and Education
Faculty position.

Primary responsibilities: include leading and coordinating one of
Unity's fastest growing majors, Captive Wildlife Care and Education, and
mentoring the program's passionate students in educational and
co-curricular activities.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate a blend
of education and experience that combines non-formal and interpretive
services with captive wildlife care and/or rehabilitation.
Teaching workload is 21 credits per year (approximately 7 courses
total).  Faculty are expected to mentor students, engage community,
pursue scholarship and share in college governance.  This is a two year
Visiting Faculty position at Instructor or Assistant Professor rank,
renewable with potential for continuation as regular faculty upon
approval of the faculty and president.  Bachelor's degree required for
Instructor rank; terminal degree required for Assistant Professor rank.
