Call for papers: LIFECORE 2008, the Lodz International
Fair, Exhibition and Congress on Renewable Energy.

The Technical University of Lodz, the Baltic
University Programme,
and the Chairman of the LIFECORE Organizing Committee
and the Director
of the Institute
of Turbomachinery, Technical University of Lodz,
Krzysztof Jozwik,
Ph.D., D.Sc invite
interested persons and institutions to the first large
scientific/business/media-oriented
event LIFECORE 2008, the Lodz International Fair,
Exhibition, and
Congress on Renewable
Energy. The event will take place on 3-6 December 2008
in Lodz, Poland.

The aim of LIFECORE 2008 is to bring together the
people involved in
research and practice of
renewable energy from around Europe and from other
parts of the world.
The four main events that
will be organized concurrently are:
-    a scientific congress, where around 300
scientists from all over
the world will present
their work and discuss problems and issues that must
be faced by the
well-established as well as
new and emerging markets in the sector of renewables;
-    a fair of machines, equipment, and devices
related to renewable
sources of energy –

-    an open-public exhibition of publications, books,
and other media
sources that promote
the use of “green energy”;
-    and, finally, an educational symposium for young
people (students,
pupils etc.) and the
general public designed to make these social groups
aware of the
problems of energy shortage and the
European policy of power generation and consumption.

Additionally, the LIFECORE 2008 organizers will
present the outcomes of
the scientific congress at
a 2-hour lecture during the 14th Conference of Parties
by the United
Nation’s Framework Convention
on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP14), which will be held
on 1-12 December
2008 in Poznan, Poland.
