We are harvesting the aboveground biomass of a large experiment in the Mojave Desert and need to chip the harvested material. Thus, we are in search of a magical chipper that will last! We will not be chipping any large trees obviously, but we do have some species that have branches around 2 inches in diameter. We are looking for a chipper that will withstand lots of use within a short amount of time, will allow the collection of small and medium-sized samples, will allow easy sample removal, and doesnt cost a million. Any advice from those ecologists who are also professional chippers would be appreciated!
