You are likely well aware of the value of a summer at a field station: the
opportunity to see first-hand the
concepts taught in class, the chance to sort through future options, the
relaxed, informal setting that fosters
deep discussions that often begin at supper and continue well into the
evening. The Flathead Lake Biological
Station's summer session experience is no exception to the rule.

FLBS is a Center of Excellence of The University of Montana and operates
year round as a research and
educational community. The Station has a world-class research program in
several disciplinary areas.
The first undergraduate classes began over a century ago in 1899, and today
the Bio Station offers a diverse
summer program of advanced undergraduate and graduate courses.
