Hello, Jefferson County Open Space (JCOS), based in Golden CO, is pleased to offer Small Research Grant support to qualified individuals or groups to conduct applied studies on JCOS lands in 2025. The goal of this program is to fund research that will inform management of natural, cultural, and recreational resources on JCOS park lands.
Awards are typically in the $10,000 - $15,000 range, although smaller awards will be considered. All research must be completed within the 2025 calendar year unless multi-year work is approved by JCOS. Priority will be given to applications that address topics identified in the official solicitation, found here: https://www.jeffco.us/DocumentCenter/View/42480/2025-Jeffco-Open-Space-Small-Research-Grants-Announcement?bidId=. Applicants may, however, propose an alternative topic if it relates directly to natural resource management or visitor experience.
