Dear all,
The next edition of our online course on Generalised Additive Models (GAMs) in
R,will take place in January 20th-24th January 2025.

Course website: [ https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/gams-in-r/
]( https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/gams-in-r/ )

This course will provide hands-on training in fitting GAMs in R, visualising
results, and checking model assumptions. You will learn how GAMs extend
generalised linear models (GLMs) and explore the wide range of situations where
they can be applied.

Learning Outcomes:

Understand how GAMs work from a practical view point to learn relationships
between covariates and response from the data,
Be able to fit GAMs in R using the mgcv package,
Know the differences between the types of splines and when to use them in
your models,
Know how to visualise fitted GAMs and to check the assumptions of the model.
Best regards,
Carlo
