With support from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and 
Michigan State University (MSU) since 1998, NASA-MSU Professional Enhancement 
Awards have been given to 460 outstanding students, postdocs, and junior 
researchers (e.g., assistant professors) in ~180 institutions around the world. 
Many former awardees have become leaders in various fields 
(https://www.canr.msu.edu/csis/education/nasa_msu_award/).
In 2025, a new set of awards will be available to cover expenses associated 
with attending the meeting of IALE-North America Annual 
Meeting<https://www.ialena.org/annual-meeting.html> (North America Regional 
Association of the International Association for Landscape Ecology), which will 
be in Raleigh, North Carolina, April 13-17, 2025. Awardees will also have 
opportunities to interact with some leading scientists and other meeting 
attendees, including a special dinner on April 14, and a proposed workshop and 
a proposed symposium on telecoupling<https://www.canr.msu.edu/telecoupling/> 
and 
metacoupling<https://www.canr.msu.edu/resources/national-science-review-leveraging-the-metacoupling-framework-for-sustainability-science-and-global-sustainable-development>.
