Hey Dave, technically there shouldn't be any issue with the compilation. That said *I think* that cl.exe picks the compiler mode based on the file extension, and as you will see in msvc/c/Makefile, dpp compiles .d files to .c.
ECL (as the source code) can run with C++ core and C++ compilers but for Windows appropriate Makefile *doesn't seem* to cater to that.
