Dear EasyBuilders,
You may already be aware, but we have a 2nd talk in the "EasyBuild Tech
Talks" series planned for next week.
Chris Edsall (University of Bristol) will be giving a presentation about
the state of Arm in an HPC context - a very hot topic right now due to
NVIDIA being in the process of buying Arm for a whopping $40 billion [1].
Chris is able to give us a "neutral" view on the current state of the
Arm software ecosystem in the context of HPC.
The talk is planned for **Wed Sept 30th 2020 at 3pm UTC (5pm CEST)**,
and will be streamed via YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iHCqwH7rmE
This is an open presentation, no registration is required.
Q&A will be handled via the #tech-talks channel in the EasyBuild Slack [2].
We plan to record this talk and make it available through the EasyBuild
YouTube channel shortly after, but we strongly recommend you join us live!
More information is available at

.
If you have ideas or suggestions for other topics to cover in future
EasyBuild Tech Talks, do let us know!
regards,
Kenneth
