Currently, the Humanity theme uses the same animation for all stages, thus throwing away information that could be useful for the user. Attached is a small modification of the Humanity-Dark nm-applet icons that try to solve this issue. Basically, it's the current animation for the first stage, addition of a small circle for the second and filling of such circle for the third. It's inspired by Karl Lattimer's Tango-style icons for network manager [1]. Making non-dark icons would be trivial. Please let me know what you think.
