Since the bug still exists and it was closed due to it being old, then I need to re-create it. If it isn't going to be fixed for some philosophical reason, I'd like to see it posted here and that's fine. The bug is that no binding in compiz that includes the Escape key will work. Evidently that is by design at some level, but Alt-Ctrl-Esc is a handy binding to have. Simply put, if you try to bind any function to the Escape key by itself or with Shift/Alt/Super/Ctrl, the 'Grab' button will allow you to assign it, but the assignment will not work and there is no error reported. Not in the interface, nor in a logfile (that I can see yet). cf. older reports and comments: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/176195 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/158855 http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=24397 http://ubuntu.5.x6.nabble.com/No-Ctrl-Alt-Esc-with-Compiz-td892450.html Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Compiz Version: 1:0.9.12.1+15.04.20150410.1-0ubuntu1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/1497490/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~dx-packages Post to : dx-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~dx-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
