In the previous versions of Ubuntu Google Chrome was adding a main icon form where it was possible to completely terminate its processes, plus the Extension icons (eg. Hangouts icon). After the update to 17.10 these icons are missing. This bug is probably related to #1728449 but is NOT a duplicate: even when other icons are shown correctly (eg. Steam or InSync), Chrome icons are still missing.
