I am no longer using Nexus 4. I have switched to a Pro 5. The problem there is the noise that comes with using the phone with a bluetooth headset or in-car system, according to this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1590844.

These devices work perfectly well when booting the phone as Android. The devices that fails to connect for me are BlueAnt Supertooth 3 (http://www.myblueant.com/shop/us/products/st3.php#related) and My Volvo car bluetooth system, both with Bluetooth version 2.0 specifications. With BlueAnt Ubuntu can discover the unit and attempts to connect, opening a pairing dialogue with the digits "0000". Confirming the pin code (which is correct) doesn't do anything, my Ubuntu phone is not recognized by BlueAnt and won't show as a connected device in the phone's bluetooth settings, but shows up under "Connect other device followed by ..." The bluetooth indicator, however, shows as connected. With My Volvo Car, pairing works differently. The bluetooth system in the car searches for devices and shows "Nexus 4" and then prompts me to connect with a 4-digit pin code, but the Ubuntu phone doesn't react at all and after a while the car system says that it failed to connect. Oh, adding to that, the indicator remains "lit" even after turning BlueAnt off and toggling Bluetooth off/on in the phone settings.
