Matching subscriptions: dx-packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1588297 Title: [16.10] indicator-application isn't aware of MATE Status in ubuntu-mate: Fix Committed Status in indicator-application package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Starting from 16.10, Ubuntu MATE developers switched the whole MATE Desktop Environment to GTK+3. As a consequence, mate-indicator-applet now uses indicator-application instead of legacy indicator- application-gtk2. But indicator-application uses .desktop file instead of D-Bus service (I guess it has been changed in [1]), and indicator- application.desktop file doesn't know about MATE: [Desktop Entry] Type=Application Name=Indicator Application Exec=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/indicator-application/indicator-application-service StartupNotify=false Terminal=false OnlyShowIn=Unity;GNOME; AutostartCondition=GNOME3 unless-session gnome So, currently indicator-application doesn't show up in mate-indicator- applet on mate-panel as the service isn't running. If I run indicator- application-service manually, indicator-application works as intended (e.g. nm-applet is switched to it instead of using tray icon). Please, let indicator applet know about MATE. --------- [1] http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~indicator-applet-developers /indicator-application/trunk.16.10/revision/242 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-mate/+bug/1588297/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~dx-packages Post to : dx-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~dx-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
