However if you do it too quickly, it will launch Libre Office Writer! The problem is that it starts searching for "l", and then "ly" and then "lyx", and when you press enter it just launches whatever is shown first, even if it isn't even the result of a search for "lyx". This is silly. I should never have to wait for my computer - it should wait for me! A possible solution: When you press enter, check if the last search was started very recently. If it was, wait 0.5 seconds or for it to complete (whichever is quicker) and then handle the enter press.
