It shows up fine in Xubuntu or in Ubuntu 10.10, equally if another window manager is used it shows up fine. Tested with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Attached is a program adapted from wxwidget menu examples that will show the issue (file menu.cpp compiles with: g++ -o menu menu.cpp `wx-config --libs --cxxflags --cppflags`) Result of running the program is that the "Demo" menu is shown but not the "Empty" menu. Expected result is that the Empty menu should be shown as well.
