Matching subscriptions: dx-packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/985932 Title: ALT-` and ALT-TAB shows windows from other workspaces Status in Unity: Expired Status in unity package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: If you place one app window on left workspace and another window of the same app on right workspace maximised vertically on right side, when you switch back to left workspace, select app window and press ALT-Grave - the preview of two windows is shown. This cause misunderstanding of the quantity of app windows belonging to current workspace and if you select another window preview - causes window to move to current workspace. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open terminal window on left workspace (through launcher or "CTRL - ALT - T"). Position doesn't matter. 2. Switch to the parallel right workspace ("CTRL- ALT- Right Arrow"). 3. Open terminal on this workspace. 4. Maximise it vertically on right side ("CTRL - SUPER - Right arrow"). 5. Switch back to left workspace ("CTRL - ALT - Left Arrow"), select app window (sometimes it happen not being selected) and press "ALT - Grave" ("ALT - `"). Two windows from both workspaces displayed in preview. Exptected result: only windows belonging to active workspace should be displayed in preview. Observations: 1. It only happens when window is maximised on right side of workspace, in other positions (CTRL - SUPER - Left Arrow, CTRL - ALT - Num 7, CTRL - ALT - Num 9, etc) bug seems not to appear. 2. It only affects app windows from horizontally parallel workspaces. 3. So far I noticed this bug only in gnome apps (Terminal, Gedit). Firefox or Chromium are not affected by it. Not sure: When I've created another user to test this bug. It seemed like on first two logins this bug didn't appear. But not sure.
