This has been repaired and installed as of today. I also installed a brand new 120GB SSD upon which I installed a newly downloaded version od 14.04LTS. I kept my /home on another drive, but for that it is essentially a new installation. System started, asked for password and at that time the panel was visible with date, time and the shutdown button. After entering password system came up without launcher and also without panel. I changed density on the screen just incase launcher was off the screen, no luck. This now has become a serious problem, as I cannot acces any of the files on my hard diks, nor can I use this system for any work. I also do not know how I can send any bug info other than this description, I have no access to Terminal, only "all settings" is available and all icons do their job when requested.
