Unity update no longer shows Wine (Crossover) applications

Bug description:
After the update to Unity 5.12-0ubuntu1 the dash no longer shows Codeweaver's
Crossover applications (e.g. Word and Powerpoint 2007). Starting e.g. Word, I
can see the icon pop up in the dash only to quickly disappear -- first it's
shown with the proper Word icon, then it changes to the generic Wine icon and
then finally it is gone (though Word runs fine).
Furthermore, when switching between apps using Alt-Tab, it is also not shown.
Thus, having minimized Word, it's quite a challenge to restore it....
