Strange flashing application switcher

Bug description:
I will attach a video that shows the issue.
The app switcher (ALT+Tab / ALT+^) flashes while I don't switch between
windows (it seems to be a dark shadow that is getting darker, goes away and
reappears right away).
I found out that this only happens when I have Chromium OR Spotify open (and
not minimized, they don't need to be in front however). There might be other
apps which are causing the same issue.
