HUD command activation takes a long time when results are updating

Bug description:
Whenever the results are still updating, the actions are lagging
before execution. This generally breaks some autopilot-tests related
to the HUD.
[Test Case]
1. Open gedit
2. Open the HUD (tap alt)
3. Enter 'Quit' (or equivalent in your language)
4. When the Quit entry appears but still the other results are updating,
press enter
-> Notice that it takes around 1 second for the application to quit, as
the action is not executed immediately
