Title: Intel i945 defaults to unity-2d in Oneiric Status in Unity: Fix Released Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Binary package hint: unity I'm barely learning about unity so I'm grabbing at straws here, but with the Oneiric alpha1 i386 iso-testing image my Intel i945 is defaulting to 2d, but prior to this (in Natty and a prior Oneiric test build) it's always defaulted to 3d. And 2d has an unrelated problem, bug 791080, but I was able to complete live testing and one install by hitting Alt+SysReq+K , logging in as ubuntu, selecting session "Ubuntu", and entering no password. Sorry for the obvious ineptitude when it comes to unity.
